About The Bass Pro Conservation Marathon
The Bass Pro Conservation Marathon is a great race for both seasoned runners and first-time competitors looking for an event with a great course and first class amenities. Participants will run on several beautiful paved trails in addition to running through the historic and picturesque residential neighborhoods of Springfield. Routes also highlight historic Route 66 as they move through the downtown area of Springfield and past Missouri State University. The flat and fast course is a Boston qualifier; on-course support is excellent and the finish line amenities are exceptional.
Races start and end at Bass Pro Shop, the Granddaddy of all Sporting Goods Stores. It is the number one tourist attraction in Missouri and new in 2016 is our Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium. This all new world class aquarium is over 315,000 square feet and features 1.5 million gallons of aquatic exhibits. Our two day health and fitness expo is held on the Bass Pro Shops campus, in the same areas as the Bass Pro store and the new museum and aquarium, making it easy to tour all three areas.
